On April 28th, Anna Bauer presented NeDiPal at VUB's Compassionate Communities Centre of Expertise.
Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) hosts a wide range of research groups. One of them, particularly relevant to NeDiPal, is the Compassionate Communities Centre of Expertise (COCO). This group brings together researchers from diverse disciplines, all working toward a shared goal: fostering a more compassionate society. Their research focuses on themes such as serious illness, death, dying, and loss.
The project presentation offered a general introduction to the research project and its novel approach, inspired by differentiation theory and, most notably, Luhmannian Systems Theory. It sparked engaging discussions on the role of culture and politics in palliative care delivery, as well as in processes of digital transformation.
